AI Support That Guides Customers Toward Resolution

Build structured Support Mentors that use your knowledge, ask the right questions, guide customers through troubleshooting, present helpful content, and escalate when the situation needs a human.

Support Portals are currently in early access and are not yet a standard self-service plan.

More than a chatbot

Customer Support Usually Needs a Process, Not Just an Answer

A simple question may need a simple answer. A support issue often needs context, follow-up questions, prerequisites, a sequence of steps, and a decision about whether a person should take over.

Question Answer

Useful when the answer itself is enough.

Guided support

  1. Step 1

    Understand

  2. Step 2

    Diagnose

  3. Step 3

    Guide

  4. Step 4

  5. Step 5

    Escalate

Structure supports the process without pretending every issue can be automated.

Turn Your Support Process Into a Guided Mentor

Support Mentor is a current Mentor type for structured troubleshooting, onboarding, setup, and other support experiences with a defined resolution path.

Start from the process you already use

Build from scratch with steps, questions, choices, instructions, structured decisions, and completion or resolution behavior. The current builder does not claim arbitrary enterprise workflow automation.

The screenshot also previews additional builder paths marked Coming Soon. Those paths are not presented here as current.

Mentor Studio also has Outcome and Continuity Mentors. This page focuses on Support Mentor: the type designed around guided resolution.

Know

Ground Support in the Material You Actually Trust

Give the relevant support step access to business-provided material instead of relying only on generic model knowledge.

Reference Knowledge for the support step that needs it

Use supported Markdown and text-based PDF material for help documentation, product instructions, support procedures, policies, troubleshooting guides, and internal frameworks where appropriate.

Scanned PDFs, handwriting, image-only documents, diagrams, and complex tables are not reliably interpreted. OCR scanned PDFs before using them.

Guide

Ask the Right Question Before Giving the Next Answer

A Support Mentor can collect the context it needs, guide the next useful action, and check whether that action moved the customer toward resolution.

01

What are you trying to do?

02

What happened?

03

Which condition applies?

04

Try the right next step

05

Did that resolve it?

06

Continue or escalate

The exact questions and sequence come from the Mentor the business creates. Mentor Studio supplies the guided structure, not a generic one-size-fits-all support script.

Deliver

Give Customers a Branded Place to Get Help

A Support Portal organizes Support Mentors into a dedicated customer-support destination. It is a separate product surface from the Support Mentor type.

One destination, organized around resolution

  • Portal identity and brand configuration
  • Linked Support Mentors
  • Visible support categories
  • Search, category browsing, and support choices
  • Guided conversations and an escalation path

Portal creation and management are currently restricted to the admin beta. This is not a standard Creator or Agency entitlement.

Escalate when needed

AI Should Know When the Conversation Needs a Human

When an issue remains unresolved, the customer can submit a support request for human follow-up. The request can include contact details, the unresolved issue, a session summary, and—when chosen—a limited transcript excerpt.

Conversation review

See requests and outcomes

Portal operators can review conversations, status, outcome, and related escalation details.

Human follow-up

Preserve the context

Escalations are saved, can notify the configured support recipient by email, and remain available for review and workflow management.

See Where Customers Are Getting Stuck

Visibility is foundational today: Portal overview counts, conversation outcomes, sessions, linked Mentors, categories, and recorded events. Deeper charts and outcome-rate analytics are not presented as current.

Human-aware by design

Automate the Repeatable.
Keep Humans Where Humans Matter.

AI support works best when repeatable questions and troubleshooting are handled consistently while people remain available for judgment, empathy, account access, and exceptions.

In Development

Support That Can Understand What the Customer Is Seeing

Screen-Aware Support is being explored and developed so a Support Mentor may eventually guide someone with more context about what is happening on their screen. It cannot currently view customer screens, and there is no announced release date.

The goal: move from “describe what you see” toward more contextual guidance.
